So about 7 weeks ago my transmission was rebuilt, and than i started having trouble with what i thought was alignment or struts, but the mechanic said it was actually the switch neutral or neutral switch.. he fixed it, than a week later the problem returned and I again had to have it replaced. what I want to know is why this might be happening? and what a neutral switch is or does. thanks

Alignment and struts don't have anything to do with the transmission that I can think of - unless it's mounting was improper or something really strange?? The only "neutral" switch I can think of is to prevent the vehicle from starting in gear. What kind of vehicle info for this anyway? T
