2003 Hyundai Accent GL, 1.6 DOHC, 4 cylinder, around 144 000 kms. We posted previously about this issue, and have since took that advice, and are looking for a little more since that doesn't seem to have fixed the issue at hand. Our car is clunking, the clunking is happening when we shift down from park, drive, neutral, etc, and when we are driving and hit certain speeds it turns over and clunks. Also when we apply the brakes, say at a stop light, or sign, and then go to give it gas, and move forward, it does not like to move forward. We can put the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it barely moves to begin with. We have take previous advice by this forum, and others and changed the transmission fluid, as well as the transmission gasket, and filter. We also have new coolant, a new starter, and a new battery. Looking for any advice, or any ideas please, and thank you.

A maybe to check. Does this feel like brakes are stuck on? Hoist it after hitting and holding brake pedal and see if they are free to turn by hand both forward and back. If not, inspect all of them. Rare but sometimes a brake can jam up when too worn or a possible cracked piece of lining?? T
