i just bought a 99 cougar and i love it.. its silver and it has black tins.. i really want black rims but they arent exactly affordable. ive heard mixed reactions about painting my alloy wheels black. i like the style so i wouldnt mind... but some people say it will chip and get ruined. is it possiable to paint them black? if so where can i get it done ( if i cant do it myself).. if at all possiable, email the reply to me at xobabiiemaxo@aol.com it would b really appreciated

Many alloy wheels have a clear coat finish to protect the finish. I don't think that will hold paint very well and would have to be stripped off and good high temp primer and finish paint would be needed. This could be a lot of effort and may not last well. Think about whether you want to do this at all and I would consult a body shop about materials and best products for that, T
