1981 Lincoln Mark VI
302 CID 5.0L
118xxx or 218xxx (odometer has only 5 spaces)
i put a new ps pump in and now i have so power assistance...pump is good and gear worked before old one went out...i know pump is good - i tested it in the junkyard i got it from and it worked fine...car was totalled due to body damage...i started the junker and turned the wheel to make sure assistance worked...now its in my car and i got nothing...im not an idiot and i installed it all correctly...what could it be

Could be air in the system. Could be a faulty new pump. Or, the wrong one.
