power windows are malfunctioning (electrical gremlins?)

I have a 2000 Saturn SL-2 (four door) with the 1.9L DOHC engine and automatic transmission. When I bought the car (used) the rear driver's side power window wasn't working at all. Then all of a sudden that same window started working just fine. Then one day the front driver's side power window stopped working! So I disconnected the battery and held the brake down for a minute or so to supposedly "reset" the car's computer. This did the trick and the front driver's side window started working immediately; BUT then the rear driver's side window stopped working once AGAIN! Fast forward a month or so later and now the front driver's side window will not function at all (again) even if I try the computer "reset" technique. So now both driver's side windows do not work whatsoever. Also of note: the rear passenger side window has a problem where the window regulator functions (what seems like) properly but the window glass itself seems to come unhinged and the glass tilts when you try to lower that window. You have to straighten out that window manually.(!) Could this be related to the other malfunctioning power windows? Does it establish a pattern? One last electrical gremlin: Sometimes the beeping warning sound the car makes when you leave the headlights on and the keys are out of the ignition does not function (you can leave the headlights on without the car warning you). Then all of a sudden that headlights-on beeping sound will work again. I don't have any money to take the car to a mechanic. Has this problem with the power windows ever happened to anyone else on this particular model? Is there an easy fix? Any help and advice will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Just wanted to let you know that clearing the computer has absolutely nothing to do with the windows and there is no relationship at all. I don't know the history of the car but I suspect it had some salt or water issues at one time. It sounds like individual motors or switches are having a problem. There is no one problem doing this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
