mecedes a160 1999, 1.6
driving home not a long journey went round a corner and the car seemed to loose power, lights flashed on the dash ( sorry didnt catch which one) and i pulled over noticed engine was fine but the power steering had gone . was a difficult drive home .
chked the fluid level which was very very low refilled it and tried driving up my road to see if it helped - nothing
hope someone can advise

We don't have that model here in the states, so don't know how the accessory drive belt system is laid out. Did you check to see if the belt was driving the power steering pump pulley?
Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
