I have a 2004 Pontiac Montana. Two wheel disc. Yesterday I started hearing a rubbing sound coming from the front tire area. I replaced the brakes. The rotors are ok. Tires are ok. No bubbles or tread seperation. Inspected both front tire areas for road debris but nothing. The sound is more of a rubbing sournd than a metallic sound. I am pretty knowledgable of fixing vehicles but I have never tackled anything in this area before. I jacked up the front end and tried to wobble the wheels to see if the wheel bearings were still tight and they felt fine. I am confused and need advice as to what to check next. Please help...thanks

Even though the wheel bearings are still tight you may still have one that is bad. While driving straight if the noise changes(almost goes away) when you turn the wheel slightly than you probably have a bad wheel bearing. Which ever way you turn the wheel to make the noise go away is the side that is the problem. When you turn the wheel the opposite direction the noise will either get louder or stay the same.
