Hi guys, whilst idling/slowly reversing my car shakes and feels like it's going to clunk out. Anyone know what's going on? Took it for a full service and tube up the other day and it didn't fix the problem.

Have the computer scanned for codes and post the numbers here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

OK - 1st what model year is this and if engine/transmission choices that and mileage/KMs on this? Codes are read by assorted places either gratis or for a fee from parts outlets to shops and always a new car dealer. NSW where you are I do believe would have OBDII system for model years for vehicles 1996 and newer. You should or could have a light warning you now but it might also wait a bit longer before staying illuminated constantly. Either way you should get them read as a guide on what area is noted as the problem. It idles rough as you said so something isn't right and have to begin somewhere. Ask around if need be where to get them read. Waiting on an engine not running properly can do damage especially to converters or more so getting to this now is important, T

It's an 03 model, automatic, 2.0ltr turbo, 166xxxkm I haven't noticed any lights on yeah I'm from nsw. The mechanic said that it could have something to do with me putting the wrong fuel in it? I don't feel like this is the case seeing at I put the highest quality 98 in it every time I fill up. I also read somewhere that it could be an injector problem, if so is it a pricey thing to get fixed?

Still dont know where you are, but in the US, many parts stores can scan for codes for free. Just dont let them tell you to buy a part to fix it. Just get codes read and post back here. If there are no codes stored, you may have to take it to a reputable shop that can handle driveability issues on that vehicle. ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... I could hear your accent - just kidding. OK - there should be a light on now IMO. Try just putting key to run but not start the engine and most warning lights should be lit and for the year would be icons. You want to know that the bulb (globe) for it works! Fuel grading is clearly different so don't know on that grade but usually a higher grade would just be wasting money if not required for this and would say so either on dash or in owner's manual or perhaps right at filler cap. Clearly it should be a car made for the requirements of your area and can't know each if different from each other in AU. You said you were a car noob and fine. Now it takes finding the right help/shop and keep on learning if only to take care of it on time with correct products by those who can. Some things are going to up to you and apparently why you are here asking. It may just need a periodic maintainence for the kms it has, about 100,000 miles to me. Enough to tend to or know stuff has been done. Injectors are possible and sometimes they can be cleaned depending on shop's equipment and ability. That you need to find out local to you. You just got it. Find out and know that repairs and symptoms checked in person is going to beat web sites which can be great but can't reach thru this screen and touch the car for you T
