I slid on some ice/snow and hit my front drivers side tire ojn the curb and the tire now wobbles. Someone told me that I might need a new rim. What does anyone else think???

You may need both a tire and a rim. If you can - get all drive wheels in the air and spin them (especially the one that was hit and look for trueness. A regular steel rim isn't too expensive. The alloy/aluminum ones can be and depeding on your call used is the way to go. The sooner you take care of this the better. If a bent rim and tire is still good catch it before the tire wears funny and will continue to cause some problems. Let a good tire store check this tire for safety as you probably need their equipmment and it sounds like the tire will be off anyway. An alignment should be considered too. Just a thought -- if the tires match and are more than 1/2 worn get a pair -- the car will handle better, - T
