Auto Parts Stores can look up by application a wiring kit for your pick up. The kit comes with instructions.

Can't say for sure with this Chevy but at least three have had plugs all wrapped up under the rear with a plug that you can get an adaptor for (perhaps dealer only) to go to standard trailer wiring. There are so many things to consider that there isn't just one for all.

ALL my own have just been wired for simple four wire trailers. If you have amber rear directionals there's another thing to convert that. Places like "U-Haul" can be your best friend as this stuff gets more involved. If you are including brakes for the trailer there's more to do. See if a plug is there and use it avoiding splicing into wires if you can as that's it's own problem later,

Auto parts stores have connectors that just "T" in to the factory wiring. Usually the connection just in front of the left rear light on the frame. Just unplug this connection and install trailer connector.
