My flywheel is really bad looking at the starterport but starter tests good is it possible that there is 2 different starteres for this van as i had such trouble finding out what tranny was in it that there is 2 different starters and i was sold the wrong starter one month ago and this is a nightmare.

Would help if I knew what your vehicle, trans, engine size was. But I doubt there are two different starters for the same vehicle. Some starters do require shims to set proper gear clearance. If the flywheel gear teeth are damaged, no starter is going to work properly. You will have to pull out the transmission and replace it.

I noticed the other thread is locked & this is different enough where I guess it would be easier just to go with this one.... Like Nick said, the flywheel is going to have to be replaced... A little trick I use when I just need to replace a flexplate is to get a couple of very long bolts the same thread pitch as the bellhousing bolts. Put them in the 2 top holes of the bellhousing and then take out the other bellhousing bolts, unbolt the conventor and as little as possible to just slide the tranny back a few inches on the long bolts. Just enough to get in there to unbolt the flexplate and replace it.....

OH God, just the thought of working on that thing on the ground in those conditions is scaring me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You're a brave man. If you can't get to a garage, I've used a cheap plastic sled as a snow creeper before. Works decent. But these days I just won't like anywhere without a garage and I can make it warm with a portable heater. I've been in your shoes before, and it sucks.

Clean the back of the throttle plate too. They usually get ignored until there is a problem.
