Greetings all, I have a 94 buick regal custom 3.8L. Every so often, the car will just not start. After letting it sit for an undefined amount of time, I can once again start it right up. I can't say it ONLY does this when it gets hot, cause sometimes it will do it cold. I have replaced the coil packs, plugs, wires, fuel filter. My fuel pressure has also been confirmed. I am reading alot about what to look at next, including the ICM, the crank/cam sensor, etc. Any help one can provide as to what to try/look at next would be greatly appreciated.

You are on the right track for what could be the fix. If a full code reading (some things might not have triggered a light yet) doesn't help than this intermittent problem may come down to good guessing. For lack of any better help at the moment I'll guess the crank sensor. Of course try to rule out any wiring connections that could be in the mix for troubles. See if others here have some suggestions if you have a day to wait for others to peruse the thread, T

i agree with tom....sounds like your on the right track....if you have access to a scan tool that gives data stream info....not just a code reader.....check for cranking rpm's when the problem occurs......if none ...suspect crank sensor like tom said...if yes ...suspect module..... does it have spark when it doesn't start????
