I have a 2008 Ford Explorer XLT. Whenever I accelerate I can hear a hissing sound. The sound is coming from the vacuum reservoir tank. I'm not sure if it's the reservoir that's causing the issue or something else. I checked all connections and the look good. I traced the two hoses going from the tank through the firewall. one of them was connected to a check valve which i went ahead and replaced but it still makes the sound. Also if I accelerate really hard then the air flow will switch to the defroster. Also the hissing sound will go away sometimes if the heat floor vents have been on for a while. if i turn off the air I'll hear the hiss sound and then it will hiss whenever I give it gas. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do/check?

It's new enough something probably got damaged by mistake like a vacuum line (probably plastic) for a section and might be close to firewall or anywhere that feeds vacuum to dash thru firewall. Look for area near where you might check trans fluid level as sometimes lines run close on some cars/vehicles and subject to being stressed or broken,
