vibration, 2007 Dodge Ram Sign In

My 2007 Dodge Ram has a vibration that is not very noticeable at low speeds, but intensifies as speed increases. 62 MPH seems to be the magic number, as that is when it is most intense. I had tires put on 5000 miles ago, and thought that was the problem. After going through multiple balances, alignments, rotations, etc. my tire shop elected to replace them so it has a brand new set on now with 100 miles on them, and it still does the same thing. They said they checked all front end parts and nothing shows up as bad. They suggested I have the drive train checked out.
My mechanic says the drive train is fine. The transmission operates perfectly, and the drive shaft is solid with no movement.
I have no more ideas of what to try. I do not feel the vibration in the steering wheel, but the truck shakes hard enough to rattle things in the glove box. It has 129,000 miles.
Any suggestions of what to look at next? Motor mounts come to mind, maybe shocks, springs, ???
Thanks for your time.

This is something that needs to be isolated by feel. The frequency of the vibrations will be a big factor in diagnosis also. It's pretty impossible to do that over the Internet.

Re: vibration, 2007 Dodge Ram Sign In

An awful lot of stuff has been checked that WOULDN'T be this problem if I understand you about it. A single tire or wheel would follow to another if rotated and balance of wheel and tire isn't the whole game the must be "true" also.

Speed also equal load and one thing that can lock into place that needs to be free is a simple u-joint! It must be able to turn free as can be but when in place might check as tight so declared OK. About have to remove it/them if configuration of a 4X4 if so has another that always turns and feel the motion.

Some last forever some go all the time in different ways. #1 cause IMO is when dunked in water.

Other things too still on the list but a totally stuck u-joint would be happy at just one speed or load and object terribly at another load while moving not just sitting still.

Motor mounts, trans support mount(s) can make an existing vibration much worse but not generally the cause. Those you can see so shouldn't have been missed.

Hey - checking and re-checking alignment, front end parts for steering if so, springs and such do no cause this, they make existing problem worse.

Strongly suspect a u-joint and probably since you feel it up front rattling glove box the front one worse but bet both are bad for main driveshaft. Not sure of that shaft's layout but those with center bearings are also a cause or jammed, ungreased slipshafts never greased as places don't know if one exists without looking!

some thoughts- easy fast checks to get some thoughts

vehicle is STOCK?
using original wheels and correct size tire ?- decal on driver door.
no ABS light or issue?
and accidents or front end work?
were drive shafts ever out, disconnected?
can you feel the vibration in steering wheel? often a slight L-R shake....
