1990 Ford Ranger, 2.9L, 4speed, 178,00 miles, engine runs great but when the clutch is engaged it bogs down and want's to die. Have checked for vacuum leaks and replaced the Clutch Interlock Switch. When you engage the clutch the engine idels fine but as soon as you give some gas with clutch in it acts up.

Just a little confused on this. Need some clarification. Clutch engaged- pedal out Clutch released- pedal in Does it bog down with the clutch engaged or released? If the transmission is in neutral and you have the clutch engaged, does the engine bog down? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
