I have a 1992 dodge stealth RT 6 cylinder 3.0L , 24 valve DOHC, the problem is it overheats on the freeway, and is fine in the city, mechanic said it could be timing belt, or that the water pump is not forcing enough water at high speed. what do u guys think?

My number one suspect would the the radiator not cooling sufficiently.

The high speed overheating points in that direction.

No, there is no way to determine it's efficiency. Just replace it and make sure the rest of the system is clean.

Don't mean to question anything you've said hammer, but you think it can b anything else beside the radiator?

There are always other possibilities but the radiator is the most common thing to act the way you describe. You can't look at anything else until you have a known good radiator.
