I have a 1994 Toyota Corolla with the 1.6 Liter motor,250000 miles with a 5 speed manual trasmission. When i go out to my car and start it up , the A/C works fine untill the engine reaches its normal operating tempature. I hear the a/c fan kick on and off untill the engine fan turns on. That is when the a/c stops blowing cold and switches to warm air. I can hear when both fans go on , the RPM's of both fans drop dramatically , almost as if they are not on and losing power. I can unhook the + terminal and put it back on, and the ac will work for a few untill the engine fan kicks back on.
I have cleaned/replaced the battery terminals, and have had azone do a check on the battery/alternator and it checked out ok( 14 volts i think he said).I have checked every fuse in the car, behind both kick panels and under the hood. Ive unplugged every relay under the hood and made sure the connections looked good, including both the fans.

How does the ac work while cruising?
When the fans are acting up is the ac compressor engaged?
Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

The A/C works great when idling still and when cruising,untill engine warms up. It blows cold, and I must add I do hear the compressor clutches kick in and out. Everything functions perfectly until the engine warms up enough to kick on its cooling fan. It has been 90-100+ outside the last 2 months so I really need to get it working for my mom

?? Fine till engine warms up. Clue is there. Is it overheating, any recent work or any history on anything done to A/C anything?
Do the fan(s) blow towards the engine? Are any parts for airflow shrouding broken or missing? Is either condenser dirty up front or in between it and radiator.
Lots of questions. With heat comes higher A/C pressures and temps of the A/C system and may cut out via a High Pressure Cut Out or thermal switch/sensing device.
Would help to get pressures with known incoming air temp thru grille at raised RPM with compressor staying engaged to see how close high pressure gets to a cut off point.
Radiator for engine if hot can radiate heat back towards a condenser as well. Just thoughts for now. At the age and miles much should be checked and ruled out,
