2005 workhorse chassis exp valve Sign In
Please educate me about expansion valves. I am having no luck finding the expansion valve or any luck educating myself.

The one I have has egelhof brand stamped on the side and a B u der that stamp. Also are two sets of numbers. DA31 and 3301.

So I found this valve that looks the same but I have no idea if they are or not the same internally. What says the forum.

I took pics of the old and new but I am unable to post them.

When it comes to expansion valves, the main criteria is that is fits at far as matching fitting types and positions.

You reckon if I were to heat that coiled tubing on the expansion valve I would be able to see that rod inside the expansion valve move?

It's cooling that actuates the valve. There is nothing to be accomplished by testing that.
