Hello. Looking for some guidance.

2015 KIA Rio.
Had a small front end collision and bent impact bar penetrated the AC condenser in one location, as a result had to replace the radiator (broken mount) and AC condenser. I assume at the time of the collision the AC system lost pressure and all of R134a has evaporated. I don't know if the AC was working at the time of the collision, most likely it was.
Now I’m at the point where I'm ready to recharge the AC system.
And here I have few questions:
1. Would you even suggest this to be an DIY job. I don’t have any special equipment.
2. I found I can purchase a R-134A kit at Walmart, I need 470 ± 25 g (16.5 ± 0.88 oz.) for full recharge
3. Do I need to evacuate the system in case there’s any moisture in it and how to accomplish this? During the repair connection hoses were disconnected from the AC condenser (probably for a month or so). I didn’t think to seal the ends and just had a plastic bag over to keep the dust out.
3. System uses R-134a refrigerant and spec calls for PAG OIL, 120±10 cc. How to determine how much oil to add and how to add it? Pull the low side connection off and add the oil?
4. I did keep the plugs on AC condenser till the last moment, so I hope the dryer didn't absorb any moisture.

Just take it to a reputable AC specialist and have them do an evacuate and recharge. There are way too many important things that you can't do.

Those "Death kits" they sell will end up destroying your system or getting you injured.

Andy - It's not saving just a hassle it's saving blowing up the whole system for not knowing or having the equipment and years of experience. Trust this advice - have it done by a pro that routinely does this. Hope you saved old condenser you may be asked for it possible a help to determine oil charge you didn't consider. Not DIY stuff at all,

T
