Hi guys, I've got some problem with the A/C of my Citroen C5 2004 hatchback. Every time I start the car, the A/C starts then stops after only a few seconds. I guess the computer shuts it off, since the air flow on the display becomes zero as well. Ideas? Thanks~~ Weipeng

Have the system checked. It may be shutting down due to low refrigerant.but that needs to be determined by a professional. Overcharge is even worse and will do damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thank you for the reply. Well, actually it shuts down on the heating mode as well. So can we exclude the refrigerant level issue?

No, you can't exclude. Some of these computer controlled systems will shut down totally. Could be something else in the system too. We don't have that vehicle here in the US so I have no info on it.

With Hammer on this and car not being sold here doesn't help most of us. I take it blower shuts down AND the display goes out as well? That doesn't all add up to just some normal low charge of A/C to me. I would think display and blower fan would work or at least light up and not respond or blow air? Hard to know what its defaults might be at all. DO NOT PLAY WITH REFRIGERANT CHARGE AT ALL AND IF IT HAS BEEN TOUCHED NEED TO KNOW THAT to even begin better guessing, T
