Bad Blower Motor? Sign In

2004 Honda Civic

AC and Heater do not run. Just stopped. Fan and blower don't run at all when I turn it on. What could the issues be? Just a bad Blower Motor or more serious? What's the avg cost to fix if I take it in, worst case and easy fix?

A common failure on those is the power transistor, plus when they go the blower motor & a/c quit working.

It's easy enough to check, unplug the 4 wire connect & check pins 3 & 4, should be about 1500 ohms. If that is ok jumper pins 2,3 & 4 to the connector and run 12v to pin 1. If the blower motor runs then the transistor is good & time to move on to the next step.

Its under the right side of the dash just to left of the blower motor.....

Almost forgot....1st you want to verify that you do have 12v going to the blower motor with the key on......
