Climate control issue
My TOYOTA Highlander 2007 seems to have a issue with EATC (Climate control). Temperature settings cannot control desired temperature. Stock on hot or cold only. To go to the dealer is questionable and expensive. Somebody told me there are repair services that completely restore EATC. Has anyone had any experience?

There is no automatic fix here. The problem has to be correctly diagnosed and repaired. My first suspicion would be a bad blend door actuator but that needs to be determined by a competent tech, not necessarily the dealer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

About the only thing I've found for ones that don't hold a specific temp were ones where something was blocking where it senses temp like papers on a dash, gloves, hat or whatever something blocking sensor(s) otherwise it needs diagnosing as HT said, T

I don't see ay diagnosis here yet. Your mechanic sent you to the dealer. I hope you didn't pay him for that advice, ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

So apparently he diagnosed a bad control head. You left that part out of your earlier post. If he right that rebuilder is a pretty good deal ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I was there Module Repair Pro, Van Nuys. They repaired the EATC by repairing weak points. Good quality for reasonable price. I drove nearly 300 miles. Everything seems to be in good working condition. I would recommend this service to anyone with similar needs.
