1987 Ford E 350 XL Fan motor for heater both front and rear inoperable. Resistors checked, motor checked, switches checked, unable to determine location in fuse box but all fuses intact. Did observe drain on system when motor initially switched on and both fans began cutting on and off intermittently prior to ceasing to operate. Unable to obtain schematic locally, library checked and cannot find any similar issues on boards. So what am I looking for? Bad ground? Where? Have significant slip disk pain and difficult to do through look see from under dash. Been having my 12 year old turn the screws and hold the meter for me. So could really use your laser here Mr Greenleaf. Primary vehicle at the moment and its getting chilly for me and my three kids. Did flush the system and sealed pin holes in radiator. Installed new 180 thermastat and cap, so there is plenty of heat to the core if we can just get the circuit flowing too.

Arggh! 180F thermostat should probably be 192F but close enough. There is a relay system and they fail all the time. Sometimes you can use the A/C relay for a temporary fix. Stay warm and Happy New Year, - T
