Hi. For the past 2 weeks, my 2001 Chrysler Sebring (34,000 miles) has been making a very loud rattling noise when I run the heater on level 2-4 (level 1 doesn't blow much, so no noise on the lowest level). I do get heat at all levels. The noise gets louder the higher the control blower speed level (level 2 - some noise, level 4 - very noisy!). The noise sounds like it's coming from the passenger side, behind the glove compartment. What is behind here? Could it be the blower? Could something be stuck that I can check myself? Can I just leave it (since I'm going to trade it in the spring anyway), or do I have to take it to a mechanic to get it fixed? It still blows heat, so I can live with the noise for another few months until spring, unless it is something serious?? Does this noise mean that the heat if eventually going to stop coming out? If I have to get it fixed, does anyone know what this could possibly cost?? Advice would be appreciated, thanks! Jen

It is probibly the blower motor going out or something fell through the vents and is hitting the blower motor wheel. A cracked or broken blower motor wheel could cause it aswell. It could cost around $150.00 depending on whats wrong.
