There are a whole list of reasons A/C has problems but yours is typical of low charge and with an "X" valve type rear set up will work longer and hog available compressed refrigerant from the front.

A/C isn't DIY at all but you could look for oil leaks especially at compressor on this if OE known for "belly leaks" for a long time.
Trouble is it's probably going to take lots more diagnosing, finding leaks and full battle with any original fittings + hoses to undo without creating a real monster of a job that it may have had already.
Job one is find any leaks most likely. Do nothing unless you are an extraordinary A/C knowledgeable person and never (might have suffered this already) use the kits with gauges on them and junk especially for such an expensive system AND because reading if even that crap was good (it isn't) are different for dual systems and need both pressures not just the can's one,

Re: ac problen Sign In

There are numerous possible causes to your problem and low refrigerant is pretty far down the list.
You could have a plugged orifice tube or blend door problem just as easily but I do agree, this is not a DIY job. There are far too many observations that need to be made to recognise the issue.
