I have very little heat from my 98 dodge dakota. The thermostat and coolant were changed, and the heater hoses are hot. Any ideas?

Could be a blend door problem. Were you having this problem before the thermostat and coolant were replaced? If not, maybe a vacuum line was knocked loose. The heat is controlled with blend doors that are operated with vacuum through..you guessed it..vacuum actuators. If both heater hoses are of equal temp, that's telling me that you are getting flow through the heater core. I think, on the Dakota, you can access the actuator thru the glove box. But first, take a look under the hood for a loose vacuum line. Loren SW Washington
