Are you even off warranty with this? Check coolant level at radiator itself. If you find it low fill it but find out why it's low as they don't eat coolant normally, T

?? Working at least some at speed or increased RPMs suggests the coolant flow isn't proper for some reason. That could be a fault with the water pump but it's sooooo relatively new for that! What exact model and engine does this have? I don't know if I can even find stuff for things this new. Any help guys? TSBs - anything? If you are anywhere close to the standard 3yr/36k-60km mark I'd take it to the GM dealer and get this covered as a warranty problem or a defective part. GM can't afford to not please customers. If there is something wrong in its history like an accident or modification it wouldn't be their problem. Check that out. A maybe is that the pressure cap doesn't hold pressure (check by sqeezing a rad hose- carefully when warm/hot) but that's usually just a minor impact on system at temps where you would be requesting heat. Does anything with the hoses look kinked or wrong at all? If you feel the heater hoses (careful again) do they feel warm/hot to and from the heater core? Note: Smaller diameter of the two heater hoses would be the inlet side and would usually be cooler on outlet side but not cold and if so note that and hit back. ?? T

Dealers can, and sometimes will, give a good faith warranty repair if you are not too far out of the warranty period. Never hurts to ask. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

There was a blockage in the heater core. Dealer flushed it out and now it works.Cost me 1/2 hour of labour. Thankyou for the responses.

Thanks for reporting the good news. Guess we'll wonder why or what could cause a restriction so relatively new?? T
