vacuum hoses 2001 GMC safari	Sign In

2001 GMC Safari all wheel drive. The controls for heat and a/c have no vacuum going to them. I found the vacuum hoses under the hood are in distress. I found a loose one(broken?) entering fire wall connection where two hoses become one and a broken one heading for engine.what is the a best way to address. Dog house off or under the hood. A hose connection diagram to try and repair existing or just a new harness? Thanks in advance.

That's a common problem with those. The plastic line deteriorates and falls apart. What you need to do is get some of the right size rubber vacuum hose that slips over the plastic line tightly. Remove the bad sections and use the rubber hose to fill in the bad spots.

The problem is gone , the was totaled by a drunk driver along with another car. Thank you for your time.

Hope nobody was hurt. Hammer Time was spot on for a common problem fix and totaled out was not a suggested solution.
