Today the driver's side axle came loose from the transmission shaft and dumped all of the transmission fluid. Had the car towed home as I did not know what had happened and when I discovered this I pushed on on the axle to reseat it in the transmission. It snapped back in as it should, leaving me bewildered as to why it came out in the first place. Any ideas/help would be appreciated as this is my wife's car and I do not want this to happen again.
