Hello, my uncle and I had to replace the rear assist arm or lateral arms on my 2004 Kia Optima 2.4l. We had to cut the cam bolts off because we couldn't get the nuts loose. I got new camber alignment bolts with camber plates in the mail the other day. I've been trying to find a nut that fits on it for like 2 months.
Does it matter what type or size and thickness of nut and washers I use? I was hoping to just use castlenuts or any nuts I find in the garage without it messing with the alignment.

You need the bolts and waiting for them - right? Those are "unique" also called concentric (?) meaning off center on purpose for the adjustment.
No don't drive it IMO you'll just have super lousy road feel and ruin tires so far off on alignment. Nuts should come with the bolts or for just moving it around measure the threads it's done all the time comes with tap and die sets. Then seek out local hardware for that size that is self locking if none I'd use star lock washers,

Feeble attempt to show picture of the bolts and how they work. Hope it shows the nuts are self locking and bolt's shaft is the "concentric" part of it. Nut could be generic but need that bolt. That BTW was for this car on look up again may now show up will not sign off web isn't working well for me, Tom

That's an aftermarket "add-on" kit Tom. Sounds like he may be dealing with OEM stuff.

At a glance shows a self locking nut. In hand they don't travel up or out of threaded parts so do NOT need a lock washer. That alone is a hardware store item note usually a plastic and distorted end to that type, T
