Sign In I just got new tires. The mechanic told me that I need new ball joints, bearings and seals. The total cost is 1,051.58. How much time do I have to get this fixed? What would happened if I don't fix it in time? Sign In Well, if the ball joint come apart you will lose your steering and you can guess what can happen then. At the very least you can wear out the new tires. I would get a second opinion on just how bad they are.
