Hello Y'all
I have a 2000 Ranger 2wd 3.0L

Just changed all of the Left side (Driver's side) suspension parts with no problems(Upper, lower Control arms, inner outer tie rods, coils sway bar end links and shocks)

On the Right Side I have a problem with the Lower Control Arm Bolts and Nuts. I cannot get them off. I tried PB blaster/ CRC Freeze Off (almost a can of each) Heated them with torch. NOTHING!!!! they will not budge!
One of the nuts is a lock nut (Regular bolt) and the other nut has a plate and nut with funky bolt (Is a special kind of bolt where the opposite end to the head has a a star like pattern Like a reverse Torq point or like a Torq screwdriver point)

My two local Ford dealership stated that the bolts and nut are discontinued item on their parts catalog

My only solution I think is to cut them out and replace them. . What kind of bolts and nuts should I get (Grade or what not?) and from where should I get them if I plan to cut the existing ones.

Hopefully someone can chime in.

Can you just go to the boneyard and get one out of another truck?

Just to add: Boneyard items like for a control arm in particular?
It must be more than just around me but all "donor" vehicles have wheels OFF and or fuel out sitting on ground is nice if you can see just what you want no matter who takes it off - this I bet they do.

Control arms are "indexed" with barbs or "cam" type idea so I suggest spray paint (BYO there) your old part in place and the donor. That could really help get it "close" enough that this works out fine.

Hardness? FE parts, fasteners should be hard metal the boneyard may cut off parts and let you fight with units so really check out where NOW with issues everywhere you can get known right hardness as needed.

OMG - I've had to go everywhere on-line better if I see the dang stuff. Strangely places like "Tractor Supply" some hardware outlets, home centers can find the odd stuff (forget finding Torx) in hardness now.

Other is assorted machinery places that sell and repair equipment of all sorts non automotive but hard work machines use good stuff worth a check if all fails. Speak for myself it's kept me busy hunting around for silly crap like that when you need it NOW stuff you're almost done!
