PS Fluid Loss '07 Honda Odyssey Sign In

Hi there everyone, this is my friend's 07 odyssey it keeps losing the power steering fluid, when I put the dye onto the reservoir and I see a little yellow colour of the dye around the steering pump. but my concern is the color of the coolant in the reservoir is also yellow, does this cars come with cooler line that goes to the lower part of the radiator, may be it is leaking the and getting mixed there, we need your opinion please, thank and God bless you all.

1st question since you chose dye is did you somehow make a mess in adding it?
PS fluid leaks in general you look for oily wet where it doesn't belong which is anywhere the fluid travels or is stored, all connections, lines, shaft of the pump and might not see at the rack and pinion connections or seals into bellows to shield there at inner tie rod ends.
Can't think of why but possible it used radiator to cool PS fluid more commonly a separate cooler (small radiator of sorts) just follow lines to see all of it.

Many places possible. If you find in fact it does use a tank in radiator for engine coolant and dye is really in coolant as well that's the problem to hurry and fix if so. Not sure on this model any year how they did what or what optional extra cooling item were possible?

Are you looking for this leak with a UV light and special glasses? That's the whole purpose of the dye.

Personally. I have never found dye necessary to find a PWS leak. That stuff makes a mess and never goes away.

HT - lost as I would never use dye either for that. Eyeb07 - look for the leaks, clean area and see it come right back. If somehow this is in cooling system that's a real problem double time as it harmed both no doubt.

Unsure why any vehicle maker would use radiator for Power Steering rather most already use it for automatic transmissions. Said can't know if there was a optional extra cooling package for these never touched one,

The coolant has a dye in it. The PS system doesn't use the radiator. Pull the rack boots back and see if the fluid is leaking out of the rack seals.
