Pt cruiser rumbling

Hey I'm posting on behalf of my girlfriend who drives a 2001 pt cruiser ltd with 120000 miles. It is my belief that he strut is going bad because when hitting nearly any bump it rattles, very weird sound. But the motor mount has been replaced. So to the current problem, when she is turning right the car has a deep rumble and it seems to get worse the more inertia that is enacted. I have tried to check the wheel bearing which I will do again for safe measure but what else could be cause the rumble and would it be related to the strut?

You seem to be describing 2 different problems. The roaring under pressure likely is a bad hub bearing. You won't be able to tell by shaking the wheel as they don't get loose although shaking the tire from side to side while the wheel is dangling will check for a loose tie rod end (inner or outer) which could be your rattling over bumps. Stabilizer links is another possibility for that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
