I have a 2006 chevy aveo. Recently took it in for an oil change and was told I have a bent tie rod and need to replace the rod and bushing. I am strapped on funds so I'm going to gave to repair only what I absolutely need to for now. Will I need to replace both the inner and outer or could I manage with just replacing the one that is bent? I have the tie rod tool but beyond that I'm not sure what parts I need.

You have to replace any parts that are damaged and then do a wheel alignment. It would not be surprising if both inner and outer were bent. We are not there so we can't tell you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
