Too far gone? Sign In

1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Engine and body in great shape but terrible underbelly. Where do I start? It will have to go to a professional, but should I source the parts? What is all involved here? Can it be done? Way too costly? Thank you.

Why are you even considering this? The frame is rusted out. Run it until it gets worse and make it a parts truck.

Too much as HT said. Welcome to my world like that with vehicles! Helps if you've owned it since this was all fine and little to no harsh rust like that if you park it on real asphalt or concrete of a shelter/garage NOT dirt, loose stone of any kind.

It stay cool as temps change and the ground humidity condenses + drips with moisture on heavier metal on already salted (had to be road salts) re-wets it every day doubles how fast it does that and would anyway just buy lots more time,
