What is hanging line from rear axle?

What is hanging line from rear axle?

HiI have a 2019 Ford F150. The other day I came home to see this line hanging off the bottom of the rear axle, it was almost touching the ground. Can anyone tell me what this is and what it does. I'm not sure if it connects somewhere or is just left there to aerate or is a drain line. I snapped it on to the metal body but I'm not sure if it goes there.

That's a vent hose for the differential but it doesn't look to be hanging.
