my car have the same exactly issue but I just don't know how to order the part because I don't know the name or I don't know if I have to replace just the filter in the PS Resservoir or I have to buy the Whole reservoir. I am desperate for help because I keep paying money to the mechanics and I still got the same issue....so i just want to go buy the part and tell the mechanic what to do..... I am not very familiar with cars and I was in google looking for a PS reeservoir filter and it's not showing me the accurate part..... it's the reservoir related to the coolant?...or the reservoir it's the white container where I put the Ps fluid?...I am sorry for this Stupid question but like I said I have no clue about cars.

Thank you.

Not sure what the problem your having is, but normally the power steering reservoir has to be replaced if it has a screen that is plugged up.

Have you checked the power steering fluid level? Look in your owners manual. It will tell you about the power steering system and how to add to it. The owner's manual will also tell you about the coolant reservoir also. If your unsure of what your doing, you should ask your mechanic or someone that is familar with vehicles that can point out where things go.

If you have a problem and take it to a repair shop and they perform a repair and that problem is still there when you pick up the vehicle or problem happens again within the warranty of the repair, you need to take it back. They shouldn't make you pay for troubleshooting it if it is a comeback.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I have no clue about cars.

Thank you.

So you have admitted multiple times that you have "no clue" about cars to the point you aren't even able to order parts for it because you don't know the names of them. Yet you want to have someone on the internet who can't see your car tell you a name of a part so you can buy it yourself and expect a shop to install it for you. Your exact words are that you want to " tell the mechanic what to do." Good luck with that. Most shops won't take well to that. I personally would refuse to work on it because I see that all the time. Someone does a google search and hopes someone has the magic cure for them, refuses a diagnostic because their mind is made up. So I put in your part and your problem isn't solved but you throw a fit anyhow. Or your part fails early and you want me to warranty it even though I didn't buy the part, you supplied it.

If all the shops you deal with are not able to figure this out, its because you are shopping around for the absolute lowest price. You get what you pay for. If you want a competent diagnosis by a professional technician, you will need to pay for it. The lowest labor rate may draw you in the door but as you can see when real diagnostics need to happen you will lose more money than you have saved.

Also, when you have admitted you know nothing about cars, don't tell mechanics how to do their jobs. We don't take well to that. Tell them the symptoms and let them look at it to determine a diagnosis. They know what they are looking at, and by your own admission you don't. You can't tell the difference between a power steering reservoir and a coolant reservoir. All the more reason to not try telling a pro his job.

Hi ..to discrete moderator I thank you for your suggestion... my car now it's working... I told the Professional mechanic about the reservoir and he did listen to me...even that I don't know anything about cars but I am paying for the job...so guess what??...the guy from the previous forum was absolutely right ...the pressure was coming from a valve somewhere in the reservoir..... I am so glad that I found professional advice in this forum to resolve my car issues...
Thanks to the nice guys who helped me to figured out.....
