wheel bearings

Hi there everyone this is a 2004 Mitsubishi outlander 2.4 AWD. how hard is is it to replace the rear wheel bearing. let me know where I start few steps will help. thank you.

step by step instructions are problematic... long and no diagrams,
Try this - get a manual or view manuals online FREE you already paid for them...
visit your local LIBRARY - see the reference desk ask for chiltons, Haynes or online resources its FREE!

X2 - Get correct info - just looked for some "marginal" AllData.DIY showed a couple types possible and don't think it should have.
One was a splined hub, lug nut studs and all, bearing sealed in. Other showed other styles so not worth this guess just to be wrong for you.
If you had a pic of the correct part(s) I could make a real good guess but that's it without knowing what's there,

hi guys thank you for responding, to be more specific this is AWD and it comes with rear drum brakes. there is a lug nut holding the hub, maybe I will remove the nut and use a slide hammer to remove it. because I don't see anything else holding it. maybe this sounds stupid, give me your ideas.

You were advised by 2 different people to get a service manual but apparently you aren't interested in that advice.
In that case, by all means, go get your hammer and maybe a stick of dynamite or two.

Hey - my info stunk looking that up. It's either a whole hub you just remove by air hopefully available to you to remove the large nut and the bolts behind and it just comes off in your hands.
Another showed a pressed in one you can forget doing yourself unless you keep a 20 ton press around. Another showed greasable bearing like a brush trailer so was lost with info not accurate.
I really think you'll need the VIN and a look but you are asking so don't just know from a glance like techs would - usually.
Some are "while you wait" jobs, others are not - need to know exactly what type or can't help as I don't pay for pro edition info anymore,
