04 silverado 4wd indicator

i have 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 z71 extended cab and the service 4wd indicator is on.
when i start my truck the lights on the 4wd switch comes on and then goes right back off. so i changed the switch and that didn't fix the problem so i changed the transfer case module and still doing the same thing. any ideas?

I you're finished aimlessly throwing parts at it. have the TCM scanned for stored codes. That's what the flashing means. That will require a professional level scan tool, not a generic code reader.
In the meantime, I am moving your question over to the trans category where we have a trans specialist that will be along to help once you post the code numbers. Remember, this is not the engine computer. It is the transmission computer.
