I have a 1989 Buick Lesabre 3.0 L engine that seems to be having transmission problems. About 2 months ago it started shifting hard. (would jerk when it shifted) I checked the fluid and found it was low to none, so I put in the fluid in and looked to make sure it was at the right level. I don't usually drive anywhere but locally (maybe 5 miles max each way) I took the car on the highway drove about 30 miles each way and when I reached the city coming back the transmission stopped working. I pulled the car over and walked to a auto parts store to get transmission fluid and came back. I checked the fluid and found that it was full. When I started the car and put it in gear the transmission worked but I could hear a noise kind of like the clicking of a bicycle chain not quite in gear. Now everytime the car sits and idles for a extended amount of time (like in traffic) the transmission will stop working. I pull over and wait for the car to "cool" down and the transmission works. (the car only has 60,00 miles on it TOTAL) Any Ideas
