Engine dies when put into gear. Just changed trans filter and oil,then drove a bit and then this. My son toke the old filer off. I think I have it on right .Does this car have a torque converter soleniod ? How do I check it ? I have 35 years working on trucks, just haven't worked on cars much.Just had new rack & pinoin and rear motor mount replaced. Wherecan I get a solenoid ? Engine runs good in park. Whitey

Unplug the electrical connector on the front of the transmission. Does the engine stay running when you put it into gear?
