I have a friend who has a 1993 Honda civic del sol. It will not go in reverse. The vehicle however does go forward when put into drive. The transmission does have oil and does not appear burnt. Could it be one of the internal solenoids, or the synchronizers. Just checking.

No, it couldn't. Synchronizers are found in manual transmissions, not automatics and there is no solenoid to apply reverse. Send it out for a rebuild if the linkage is working properly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
