Looking for advice or help. Here is the deal. Trans won't shift out of
1st gear. Also, the speedo don't work. I kinda think this may be linked
to the issue. I replaced the ECM last night, same deal. Trans fluid ok
and clean. runs great. Where should i go now? thanks for any ideas.

Yes, I would expect they are related. I don't know why you would have changed the PCM. I suspect you have a bad Vehicle Speed sensor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Thanks, I was told the pcm need to be changed, live and learn. Where would I find the speed sensor at? Just picked the car up and don't know any of its past history. Will that throw a code? Thanks for helping out!

Yes, it usually would set a code. It can have problems elsewhere in the speed sensor circuit besides the sensor itself. It's on the transmission output on the passenger side.

I don't know how you plan on testing anything but you need a portable lab scope now.

You won't necessarily have an code and even if you do, it doesn't tell you what failed with component testing.
