I bought this truck with a rebuilt tranny, automatic, I was told I need to hook up this littlte wire to the computer in order for the truck to shift. How and where do I need to hook this up? Wire is about a foot long. Computer is behind glove box. Thanks Scotty

And you believed that?

Why would someone go through the hassle of having to explain a transmission problem in a car they were selling if it was only a matter of hooking up a wire?

I have some ocean-front property to sell. Very reasonable. It is located in Wyoming. Low monthly payments.

I was told that the transmission shifts electronically and previous owner had bought new computer ($180.00) but did not know how to hook it up. I have not been able to drive down the road to test tranny do to driveshaft is in shop being repaired. I have never heard of this shift computer before. All I wanted to know was if anyone had any info that could help me. Of course when driveshaft is back in truck I will start it up and see if guy is full of it. The previous owner was told that tranny needed to be rebuilt because of shifting problem, but after rebuilt was done, he was told it needed this new computer.

I love Wyoming. I did not know an ocean bordered that state. I am very interested. How much an acre?

He may or may not be right about needing a new TCM. Diagnosing this type of problem requires some special test equipment and can get very complex.
