my friend has a 1995 jeep grand cherokee, 6 cyl. it was crashed into a wall,(not too much damage) the problem since is that it won't drive in reverse, it will go forward but not in reverse. he took the linkage off @ the transmission & can feel the arm click into all the gears, but not when the cable is hooked up. has anyone ever had this problem? is it an easy fix?

Did it go into reverse when cable was removed? No real matter - this is collision stuff and really needs to be looked at hands on. May not look like much damage but you may be surprised, T
