Year of vehicle - 1996
Make of vehicle
- renault
Model of vehicle - Clio
Engine size - 1.4
Mileage/Kilometers - 100,000+

Ok i pulled up a T'juction , and from neurtal ( rolled there like you do), put it into first, brang up the clutch and a little gas to move, but nothing!, so after a getting it back to my house, i inspected the gear's and the clutch, the clutch moves in and out (on the pedal) like normal, and the gears go into gear, but when the egnie is running, and i try and put it into gear, it would normally make a grinding noise, and bump it out, it doesnt do this, it lets it go into gear, with out the clutch pushed down, and no noise. i removed the linkage at the bottom of the car, and push it into gear that way, it goes into gear, and seems fine to me. i am compelety lost for idears, so please if any 1 has any knowagle please help me, also the clutch makes a kinda like air leaking noise, wen i push it in, and then relase it?? help!

thanks for your time

Law.

Seems like this is a plain worn out clutch. It probably gave you some warning like slipping on accelleration or up hills for a while. They can go real fast to nothing at the end,

I don't think that car is sold to the states. At least I've never seen one. Some clutch jobs do require taking engine and trans out as an assembly - I just don't know or know quite where to look except perhaps AllData.com if they have specifics for replacement. Perhaps a paper manual for the car would have that info. I don't know what's available to you locally - you could just ask your parts place as it should be sold as a replacement kit,
