My 2000 dodge ram 1500 makes a zip noise then bangs into first gear and somethimes into second gear. It runs fine otherwise. I was told it was my transfer case so I changed it but it doesn't seem to be any better. there is 101000 on it and I bought it used a year ago with 90,000 miles. I just tried putting Lucas transmission conditioner in it and it says drive for 400 miles and pray. What next? Thanks.

What size engine? Which transmission? Any trouble codes stored in the PCM? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
