Driving home from work when i first got on the highway i took the rpm pretty high; everything worked fine until i slowed down at the end of my route. trying to speed up after driving down a side street to my house the engine revved but didn't accelerate. after pulling to the side and messing around for a bit i discovered second and first gear work. I got home and this is where i stand i haven't gone to get any information just looking online for any help i can find.

Gary our trans guru should add some info later - might want to do basics until he replies- scan for codes, check fluid quantity and appearance also if you know which trans* add that . my guess 4 or 5 R55E separator plate issue - codes will tell. *4R 55E . 4R70W, 5 R55E

Hello, Trans is 5R55E. Question, when you select drive or reverse, do you hear anything engage in the trans? Gary

I do not hear anything different from when driving it normally, it seems fine until i try to accelerate, then the engine revs without speeding up at all.

Ok, Can you manually shift this up to 5th gear(start in manual one and move the shifter up to drive)? Gary
