I have a 2001 Dodge Caravan with a 2.4 engine and 3 speed automatic. I have a noise coming from the left side of the car when I put the car in reverse. It is coming from where the CV Joint goes into the transmission. It sounds like a clanking U Joint when it goes bad on a rear wheel drive car. How do I replace this part ?? It also makes a grinding noise sometimes when I take off from a dead stop. I have learned to take off slow and it doesn't grind.

You really should nail down the exact source of noises. Some sounds like CV joint(s) some like a bearing more likely at wheel IMO. The "clank" isn't good as that might be ready for something to snap, T
